Exit Consultants is a boutique advisory firm helping business owners prepare for and execute successful exits. We combine operational insight with M&A experience to guide entrepreneurs through one of the most important transitions of their lives. We’re looking for a sharp, driven Business Development Associate to help us grow our client base and build meaningful relationships across the lower middle market.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify and engage potential clients: business owners, intermediaries, and referral partners
- Build and manage a pipeline of leads through CRM tools and outbound outreach
- Research target companies and develop thoughtful, personalized outreach strategies
- Attend industry events, networking meetings, and virtual webinars to build visibility
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team on campaigns, content, and thought leadership
- Qualify inbound leads and support sales calls, proposals, and presentations
- Maintain data accuracy and activity tracking in CRM
What You Bring:
- 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles
- Strong communication skills—confident, clear, and professional
- Comfortable speaking with business owners and senior executives
- Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working independently
- Interest in private equity, M&A, or entrepreneurship is a big plus
- Experience with HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar tools is helpful
